Designing a more immersive wellness experience.Where storytelling, generative AI and custom code meet.
Hippocrates Wellness, founded in 1956 in West Palm Beach, Florida, welcomes guests from all over the world to a 55 acre campus. We redesigned and extended its digital experience, and built the landing of its core program as a cinematic sequence that moves with the scroll.

The challenge
Making complexity feel effortless.
Hippocrates offers residential programs, specialised journeys, campus experiences, education and community initiatives, for very different audiences. The first challenge was to make that ecosystem easier to understand and to move through.
The second was the Life Transformation Program, the center’s core program. A standard information page could not carry what the program feels like. We wanted a page that draws people in from the first second, using movement, images and interaction as narrative tools, without losing clarity.
Approach
Three goals, one experience.
Clear information, emotional storytelling and technical depth had to live on the same pages.
01Simplify the informationA structure that lets each visitor find the program, the stay or the conversation they came for.
02Create an immersive narrativeMovement and images that tell the program before the copy does.
03Build a flexible systemTemplates and structured content the team can keep growing.
Featured experience
An experience that unfolds as you scroll. The Life Transformation Program.
For the center’s core program we designed a landing built around a cinematic sequence controlled by the scroll. Water is the metaphor: change, depth, transformation.
The sequence starts at the surface and slowly takes the viewer under it. AI-generated footage, video and custom JavaScript turn an ordinary scroll into the way the story is told.

Creative concept · Drop into Water
A visual metaphor for transformation.
A calm scene, a drop meeting the water, rings spreading out, then a change of point of view below the surface. The video is not a background: its movement is part of how the page speaks.
01Still surfaceA dark pool framed by leaves. A single drop falls.
02ImpactThe drop meets the water: the first movement of the story.

05The promise“One foundation. Many ways to begin again.”
06Below the surfaceThe point of view drops under the water, and the program begins.
We used Google Veo to generate the footage, inside a creative direction set for the project. The goal was not just a beautiful clip, but a sequence whose movement could be driven by the scroll.

Custom development
When scrolling becomes part of the story.Page progress drives video progress.
We built a custom solution that ties the video to the scroll. The sequence does not play on its own timeline: it moves as the visitor moves through the page, so the scroll sets the pace of the story.

01Scroll inputThe visitor’s movement is the input.
02Scroll progressionPage progress sets the state of the experience.
03Video synchronizationThe video position follows that state.
04Visual continuityThe image stays continuous while exploring.
05Content transitionThe sequence hands over to the content of the landing.
The full landing
A complete experience, not just a visual effect.
After the opening, the landing explains the 21 day residential program, the journeys, the Hippocrates principles, accommodations, protocols and experts, and leads to a consultation.

Design01
The wider website
One digital ecosystem. Multiple ways to explore.
1.1Homepage
The campus at night, a clear promise and two ways in: stay with us, or watch the film. A free consultation is always one tap away.
1.2The approach, in plain words
Who Hippocrates is, where it is and how the program works, in three short principles: release burden, restore flow, renew resilience.
1.3Events and tours
Talks, movement and community evenings on campus, most of them open to visitors, with a campus tour one click away.
1.4Alumni, always welcome back
A space for past guests: a repeat stay, an event, a tour with someone new, continuing education.
1.5Making the next step feel natural
Discover, explore, choose, connect. Not everyone knows which program fits, so the site always offers a conversation: the consultation bar, “Talk to our team”, and a guided Plan Your Journey form that asks about needs, timing, guests and contact details.

Development
From design to a production-ready experience.
2.1AI-assisted components, editable by the team
AI also supported the production of WordPress and Elementor components, inside a process we controlled. The goal: custom work the in-house team can still edit every day.
2.2Responsive and pre-launch checks
Responsive adaptation of every template, custom CSS and JavaScript where needed, and a full review of the staging site before going live.

A flexible foundation behind the experience.Dynamic content with WordPress, Elementor and ACF.
Each journey had its own content, but the same logic. We set the Journeys up as a Custom Post Type with Advanced Custom Fields, and connected them to dynamic Elementor templates.
Sections appear only when there is content for them, so a new program does not need a new page built by hand. The cinematic landing is bespoke; the rest of the site runs on components the team edits.
